Dr Maxim Vanderstappen is an orthopaedic surgeon who focuses entirely on the shoulder. He sees patients with any shoulder complaint: from sports injuries and instability to rotator cuff tears, proximal humerus fractures and osteoarthritis.
He studied medicine at KU Leuven and trained as an orthopaedic surgeon at AZ Monica in Antwerp. For shoulder surgery he went on to specialised centres in Nice, Lisbon, Zurich and Lyon, and to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia in the United States.
