About
Dr Nick Jansen is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee and shoulder surgery. He graduated in medicine from the University of Antwerp in 1993, subsequently trained as an orthopaedic surgeon and has more than twenty-five years of experience in practice.
For the shoulder he trained further in shoulder arthroplasty and tendon repair in Zurich, in the Latarjet procedure in Rimini and in shoulder instability in Annecy. He lectures in Belgium and abroad, teaches at international anatomical courses in Germany and organises workshops and congresses in his field.
At ORTHOCA and AZ Monica he treats knee and shoulder injuries, with particular attention to sports injuries. As a sports medicine consultant he works with football, handball, korfball, hockey and baseball clubs. He is the founder and chairman of the Belgian Football Doctors and Associates (BFDA), which supports the professional clubs of divisions 1A and 1B.
He also consults at PITCH in Edegem, the sports medicine centre he co-founded.
